Just in time for the Season 4 premiere of Star Trek: Discovery, Hero Collector has announced four new die-cast metal ships – U.S.S. Voyager-J, U.S.S. Discovery-A (Refit), Section 31 Deimos-Class, and Booker Cleveland’s Ship – that are all “as screen-accurate as possible” and come packaged with a magazine filled with detailed profiles, behind-the-scenes info on their creation, sketches, and interviews with the artists and designers responsible for bringing them to life.
The newest version of the U.S.S. Voyager, which made its maiden trip in Star Trek: Voyager with Captain Kathryn Janeway at the helm, represents “ten generations of technological evolution” and exists in the 32nd century where Star Trek: Discovery is now set. In this time, it is “tasked with maintaining the protection field around Federation Headquarters.” This scale model of the U.S.S. Voyager-J will be released in January 2022 for $54.95.
Next up is the U.S.S. Discovery-A (Refit), and it represents the major refit the starship that shares the series’ name received when it stormed into the 32nd century. In Season 4, this new starship, which now carries the registry number NCC-1031-A, is equipped with the latest tech that will help Captain Burnham and her crew survive anything the future throws at them. This scale model will be available in December 2021 and will cost $54.95.
Section 31 is Starfleet’s covert ops organization and Hero Collector will be releasing a Deimos-Class starship that “served the role of mothership” on the show. The Deimos-class starship in Disco reaches a length of nearly 900 meters and features “swarms of autonomous drone-fighters stored in the saucer ‘wings’ on either side of its central spine.” This model will be released in November 2021 and will cost $54.95.
Lastly, a replica of Booker Cleveland’s ship will be available in January 2022 for $54.95 and will give fans a chance to own the first ship Captain Burnham ran into when she arrived in the 32nd century. This ship is “equipped with subspace communications, a cloaking device, and a variety of faster-than-light propulsion systems” in addition to a “morph” system that allows it to change its shape.
You can order the ships on the Hero Collector site.
If you can’t wait to add these Star Trek starships into your own fleet, Hero Collector has a ton of other options from Star Trek: Picard, Star Trek: Strange New Worlds, Star Trek: Discovery, and Star Trek: The Next Generation.
Star Trek: Discovery’s fourth season is set to premiere on Paramount+ on November 18, 2021, and will find “Captain Burnham and the crew of the U.S.S. Discovery facing a threat unlike any they’ve ever encountered.”
