• Do Fans Actually Want a Thor 5? Reactions Are Mixed

Warning: This article contains minor spoilers for Thor: Love and Thunder.

Marvel fans have taken to social media following the release of Thor: Love and Thunder to share their opinions about whether or not there should be a Thor 5.

We asked you, the IGN audience, that very question on Twitter, and the results of that poll have been very mixed so far. The poll is currently still open for votes, but as it stands at the time of writing, 42.7% of people have pledged their support for a fifth film, while 30.6% of people think it's time to bring the hammer down on the franchise, and others are undecided.

At the end of Thor: Love and Thunder's credits, Marvel confirmed that "Thor will return" to the MCU in the future. That revelation filled a lot of fans with hope over the possibility of a fifth adventure, especially in light of the mid-credits scene in Thor 4, though some support came with the caveat that a different approach would need to be taken on the next one.

People who voted against a fifth Thor movie balanced out the debate by sharing their opinions on why they wouldn't like to see the franchise continue. A few people agreed that the direction would need to change as they're not interested in seeing another comedic romp with the God of Thunder, while others simply felt that the story was done.

Waititi himself has been contemplative when it comes to Thor's character of late, admitting that the latest iteration isn't necessarily what fans would want. That hasn't discouraged him from being involved with the franchise though, as he recently told Insider that he would be up for directing a hypothetical fifth installment so long as Chris Hemsworth returned.

Whatever happens, it's clear that the MCU Phase 4 needs a direction fast, even with Thor: Love and Thunder successfully racking up a $302 million opening weekend.

Get 3-Months of Audible Premium for Free Right Now

Amazon has extended one of its best Prime Day deals for those who are already Prime members. Right now you can get 3-months of Audible Premium Plus absolutely free. That's right: no hidden fees, no cost, just a straight-up 3-month free trial including three audiobooks of your choosing. If you aren't already a Prime member, just sign up for a 30-day trial now to make yourself eligible.

That's an outstanding deal considering the membership would usually set you back $14.95 per month, so in total, you're saving almost $45 overall on the service. So, if you're looking to kick off the summer sale season, and Prime Day savings in style, this could be a great shout. This deal is running until July 31, so don't miss out.

Get 3-Months of Audible Premium for Free

So why is this an excellent deal? First of all, it's free for Prime members, so you can currently consider it just another benefit of your membership for the next few months (just remember to turn off auto-renewal). The only catch is your need to be a new Audible member, so take that into consideration.

Not only that, but you get three audiobooks of your choosing, for free, during this period. These are yours to keep, and you don't need to keep paying for Audible to listen to them.

That means you can check out The Lord of the Rings, Dune, The Sandman (Act 1&2), Game of Thrones (A Song of Ice and Fire), the Harry Potter series, and so much more. The Sandman is my personal favourite, as it is a full-blown audio drama, featuring actors such as James McAvoy, David Tennant, and more. Plus, there's already a whole library of Audible originals that you can access without having to use any of your audiobook tokens.

    Halo Infinite’s Campaign Co-Op Beta is Still a No-Show

Halo Infinite's campaign co-op beta still hasn't kicked off as developer 343 Industries is currently unable to get the mode working.

In a series of tweets (below) spotted by PC Gamer, 343's community director Brian Jarrard said the team is "still targeting this week but it's day by day as work continues". Despite announcing it would begin the week of July 11, "the team is still working on our upcoming Halo Infinite network co-op insider flight build," Jarrard said, with "flight" essentially meaning "beta".

He continued: "Flighting is fluid as the process entails discovering issues in initial rings and resolving them before expanding to a larger audience. A few issues were discovered in our current flight ring and the team is working to address."

The term "rings" is further 343 jargon essentially meaning development milestones. Translated, Jarrard is basically saying the team is working through issues found in smaller tests and it will only release the proper beta once these are fixed.

"Apologies to folks who expected the flight today – we're eager to get this into your hands but we also want to ensure it's a positive and worthwhile flight experience," he added.

Fans have been eager to play Halo Infinite's campaign in co-op for quite some time after it was delayed from the game's initial release date in December last year. 343 later announced another delay to the mode, saying it wouldn't arrive until May 2022 at the earliest, and only in June confirmed a beta would begin in July.

The game hasn't had the smoothest post-launch period and even 343 admitted its multiplayer mode is lacking content, and while the Season 2 update was meant to address concerns, it too had a bumpy launch.
