The upcoming midnight black version of the PlayStation Pulse 3D wireless headset is now available for preorder. It retails for $99.99 and will be available on October 29. You can preorder it now at Amazon.
Preorder Midnight Black Pulse 3D Wireless Headset
First announced earlier this week, the midnight black headset uses the same color scheme (two slightly different shades of black) as the Midnight Black DualSense Controller that came out earlier this year. While this headset (and the original Pulse 3D headset) are compatible with PS4, it offers additional features when paired with a PS5.
PS5 games that use Tempest 3D AudioTech can offer three-dimensional sound, giving you an aural sense of where noises are coming from in the game world. Additionally, the new PS5 firmware update introduces new equalizer presets for the Pulse 3D headset, letting you choose between Standard, Bass Boost, or Shooter. In the Shooter preset, the sound EQ is designed to boost the sound of footsteps and gunshots, in an effort to give you an edge in those games.
