Some of the best deals happening for Amazon Prime Day are on solid-state drives. In fact, some of our favorite PS5 SSDs are among those on sale, so if you've been holding off on expanding or replacing the existing storage in your PlayStation, now's a great time to do so.
There are NVMe M.2 SSDs, of course, but there are also normal SATA SSDs, which are ideal for cheap, fast, and relatively generous storage for your PC needs.

It's important to note, not all of the SSDs on sale are suitable for use in your PS5. The WD_BLACK SSDs are amazing performers and their Prime Day deal prices are superb, but if you want to use them with a PS5, you're going to need a heatsink. Fortunately heatsinks are easy to install, but if you're a little squeamish, opt for the Samsung 980 deal instead. The Crucial P5, while slightly less quick, is also technically PS5 compatible, but again requires a heatsink.
Any of the NVM.e M.2 drives on sale for Prime Day would be excellent in your gaming PC, as long as your motherboard supports them. I moved some of my games over to a comparitively slow M.2 drive and the difference over even a SATA SSD was massively noticeable.
If you're looking to expand your storage, basically now is the time to do so. We probably won't see these prices again this year until Black Friday, and who wants to wait until the cold November rain?
