Cancel Using Your Web Browser

The easiest way to cancel your Apple TV+ subscription is to use your web browser. Below is a step-by-step guide on how to do do that, or you can scroll further to see our instruction for cancellations through the app on Apple devices.

  • Go to https://tv.apple.com/ using your web browser
  • Click the 'Sign In' button on the top right corner of the screen
  • Choose the 'Settings' option to reach your account settings
  • Scroll down to the heading that says Subscriptions and click 'Manage'
  • Choose 'Cancel Subsription' to cancel your Apple TV+ subscription

Cancel Using Your iPhone or iPad

If you're using an Apple device (iPhone or iPad) with the Apple TV+ app already installed the instructions are very similar to using the web, but with a few small tweaks.

  • Open the Apple TV+ app on your iPhone or iPad
  • Select the Account icon in the top right corner
  • Make sure you are logged into the correct account

If you do decide to cancel your subscription, some of the best new TV shows of 2022 will no longer be available to you. Fortunately, there are some more popular and mainstream streaming services that offer a lot more content and a deeper backlog of original shows and movies. The main downside of these other services is that they are more expensive.

The Disney+, Hulu, and ESPN+ Bundle

The cost of an Apple TV+ subscripions is incredibly cheap at just $4.99 per month. For $9 more a month, however, you can get the Disney+ bundle that gives you access to Hulu and ESPN+ as well.

This is likely the best option if you're looking to get the most bang for you buck. You'll get access to new Marvel shows, Hulu Originals, Star Wars shows, sports, and more for $13.99 a month.

HBO Max

Another great streaming option is HBO's streaming service: HBO Max. You can get the base subscription with ads for $9.99 or the ad-free version for $14.99 per month. Both options allow up to 5 profiles.

While those prices may seem very high compared to Apple TV Plus, the main draw of HBO Max is it's backlog of original content. You get HBO orginals movies and shows as well as content from DC, Adult Swim, Cartoon Network, and Studio Ghibli. You also get to watch the biggest Warner Bros. movies like The Batman on the platform as soon as they hit streaming.

It was also recently announced that HBO Max and Discovery+ are being combined into one service, so that will expand the content available on the platform even more.

Netflix

Netflix is the biggest streaming platform out there with more original content than anybody could want. You can get a basic subscription for $9.99 a month or upgrade to Standard ($15.49) or Premium ($19.99) to get access to more features. Similar to HBO Max, the main draw of this streaming subscription is the incredible backlog of good Netflix movies and original shows.
