Spyglass and Hulu's upcoming Hellraiser adaptation has announced that Jamie Clayton will play Pinhead, the famous cenobite created by Clive Barker.
Jamie Clayton is best known for her role in Sense8 and The L Word: Generation Q. She will be the fourth actor to play the iconic villain Pinhead, who was first played by Doug Bradley in 1987. Odessa A'zion will star alongside Clayton in an unnamed role.
The cast also includes 13 Reason Why's Brandon Flynn, The Boys' Goran Visnjic, Drew Starkey, Adam Faison, Aoife Hinds, and Hiam Abbass.
Clive Barker, the original creator of Hellraiser, and Marc Toberoff have joined the project as producers, though the film has already finished filming.
Peter Oillataguerre, the President of Production for Spyglass, said, "next year marks the 35th anniversary since 'Hellraiser' first haunted our dreams. It's only fitting to come full circle in collaborating with Clive, the original creator and master of visionary horror." The new movie will debut exclusively on Hulu.
The new Hellraiser marks the 11th movie in the franchise. Fans are hoping it will be a step in the right direction from 2018's Hellraiser: Judgment, which we called "painful" in our review, saying, "Hellraiser: Judgment is one of the better of straight-to-video Hellraiser sequels, but that says a lot more about how bad those other films are than how good this one is."
That's not the only Hellraiser project in the works, as HBO is reportedly developing a new Hellraiser TV series.
