The upcoming horror movie Winnie the Pooh: Blood And Honey went viral earlier this year with its announcement of turning the popular children’s books into a slasher flick. The film is on track to keep the fear alive after today’s brand new poster reveal from Dread Central.
The gruesome poster gives us a closer look at everyone's favorite bear Pooh and the normally adorable Piglet. Pooh looms at the top, wielding a blood-drenched mallet. Imposed below him is his very best friend, Piglet, holding a knife and standing over a body. What a warm welcome to the new Hundred Acre Wood.

It’s hard to deny the absolute horror the poster promotes with its tag line that the movie “ain’t no bedtime story.” The film has been met with a variety of reactions – from horror to disgust and even delight from some hardcore horror fans.
The film has yet to get a trailer, but details were teased in May by director Rhys Frake-Waterfield. Pooh and Piglet feature as the main villains who have gone on a rampage after Christopher Robin abandons them to go to college. Oh, and Pooh and Piglet even eat Eeyore, apparently.
We got a look at the fear-inducing retelling of the childhood tale earlier this year. In it, Pooh and Piglet can be seen sneaking up on someone in a hot tub. We also get a glimpse at Pooh behind the wheel of a car.
The poster and film embrace absurdity and the movie will straddle the line of horror and comedy, according to Frake-Waterfield. Earlier this year, the 1926 version of Winnie the Pooh by A.A. Milne went into the public domain, making this film possible.
