Fortnite and Star Wars: The Book of Boba Fett are having a crossover in December as Boba Fett himself, and possibly Fennec Shand, will be joining the Item Shop as outfits.
As revealed by Fortnite's Twitter on Disney+ Day, we get an image of Boba Fett and Fennec Shand on what was once Jabba's Throne and has now been claimed by the iconic bounty hunter. The Tweet says, "Boba Fett will be making his arrival on the Island December 24, 2021 at 7pm ET! #DisneyPlusDay."
While it doesn't specifically say that Shand will be joining as well, she appears prominently in the image with a Shield Potion and a potential Emote of the Mandalorian symbol of a Mythosaur. Also teased in the image is the Tusken Raider's Gaffi Stick, which will most likely join the Item Shop as a Pickaxe.
This crossover will happen just a few days before Star Wars: The Book of Boba Fett premieres on Disney+ on December 29, 2021. It also follows the addition of The Mandalorian and Grogu to Fortnite from last year.
The Book of Boba Fett will follow Boba Fett as he works on Tatooine to fill the power void created when Jabba the Hutt died. With Fennec Shand, Fett aims to "rule with respect" and is seen offering former captains of Jabba's clan a proposal that would be "mutually beneficial."
This new series was announced in the second season of The Mandalorian, and while the third season of that show is set to start filming soon, there has been no guarantee that The Book of Boba Fett will return for a second season.
