Best Buy announced its 'Black Friday in July' sale beginning July 10, to counter Amazon's upcoming Prime Day event. It used to be Amazon Prime Day stood on its own as a single-retailer event, but those days are long behind us. Prime Day isn't even a day any more: it's two days now, and Best Buy's sale will run during Prime Day and beyond.
The event begins July 10, which is Sunday, but only if you're a Best Buy TotalTech member. If you're a non-member, the deals begin on July 11.
According to Best Buy, in addition to the early start, "Totaltech members will also have the opportunity to purchase a hard-to-find product during the sale and will be notified beforehand with the details."
Best Buy doesn't give any details on what those "hard-to-find" products might be, but if I had to guess, I'd say they're referring to Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5. Or they're just hinting at them, hoping you'll sign up for TotalTech (which is $199.99 annually).
