Batman and Spawn Are Crossing Over Again – Comic-Con 2022

DC and Image Comics are revisiting one of the biggest superhero crossovers of the '90s, as Batman and Spawn are butting heads once again.

The news broke during the "Jim Lee and Friends" panel at SDCC. Batman/Spawn #1 is a 48-page one-shot special written by Spawn creator Todd McFarlane and drawn by Greg Capullo, an artist with extensive experience with both characters.

DC and Image collaborated on two Batman/Spawn crossovers in 1994. Spawn/Batman #1 was written by Frank Miller and drawn by McFarlane. Batman/Spawn: War Devil was written by Doug Moench, Chuck Dixon and the late Alan Grant and drawn by Klaus Janson.

Batman/Spawn #1 is set for release on December 13, 2022. DC will also be releasing a new trade paperback collection of Batman/Spawn: War Devil on November 15.

In other comic book crossover news, the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles are also teaming up again in December 2022.

There's tons of news for all your favorite shows, films, games, and more coming out of San Diego Comic-Con 2022, and we've got the full schedule to guide you through the weekend of panels, announcements, trailers, and surprises.
