Daily Deals: Best PS5 Upgrade: The WD Black SN850 1TB SSD Without Heatsink Is $85 Cheaper Than With Heatsink

Now that the PS5 has officially released an update that allows for internal M.2 SSD expansion, it might be worthwhile for you to upgrade your storage. The WD Black SN850 has always been the most recommended SSD for this upgrade. A heatsink is strongly recommended, but there's no need to waste money buying an expensive SSD with a pre-installed heatsink. You can easily buy a heatspreader off Amazon for much less and install it yourself. If you insist on getting an SSD with heatsink installed, there's a recently released XPG model that blows away the competition in terms of pricing.

The WD Black SN850 M.2 1TB SSD Without Heatsink Is $85 Cheaper Than the Same Model With Heatsink

The WD SN850 is currently the most popular (and probably the best) SSD to get for your PS5 storage upgrade. It's blazing fast drive with transfer speeds rated at up to 7,000 MB/s and a PCIe Gen4 interface. It's also confirmed by Western Digital themselves to be compatible with the PS5. Save $70 and get the model without heatsink, then buy a cheap PS5 compatible heatsink on Amazon and put it on yourself (it's super easy).

Lowest Price Ever for a PS5-Compatible SSD with Heatsink: XPG GAMMIX S70 Blade 1TB M.2 SSD

This is the latest SSD that's specifically designed for your PS5 storage upgrade. It also happens to be the lowest priced PS5-compatible 1TB SSD with heatsink available. In fact, it's even less expensive than most compatible SSDs without heatsink. The S70 Blade boasts transfer rates up to 7,400 MB/s and a PCIe Gen4 interface. It includes a PS5-compatible low-profile aluminum heatsink, but for whatever reason you'll have to put it on the SSD itself (which isn't hard, it's just adhesive).

New Model Samsung EVO 128GB Micro SDXC Card

Nintendo Switch Compatible

The new version of the popular Samsung EVO Micro SDXC card (which features a blue color theme compared to the older green theme) is rated for V30 and A2 speed classifications. V30 spec requires a minimum read/write speed of 30MB/s and A2 requires a minimum random read/write speeds of 4000/2000 IOPS. Other Micro SDXC cards (like the SanDisk Extreme) with similar ratings are priced considerably higher.

Dell S2721DGF 27" 2560×1440 1ms 165Hz G-SYNC IPS Gaming Monitor

This is one of the best gaming monitors you can buy for under $500. It's also a full $40 than the previous price low. The 27" Dell S2721DGF monitor boasts an excellent IPS panel with wide viewing angles and 98% DCI-P3 color coverage. This is a tried-and-true gaming monitor featuring a blazing fast 1ms response time and up to 165Hz refresh rate through the DisplayPort. Xbox Series X|S Core Controller: Electric Volt

The Electric Volt Xbox Series X|S controller is $15 off at Amazon and the least expensive of the custom colored Xbox controllers. The solid neon green color looks awesome with the white backing. At this price, it's even cheaper than the MSRP of the standard black controller (although that one is also currently on sale at Walmart).

Dell Inspiron 16 Plus 16" 3K RTX 3060 Laptop

You're getting a lot of laptop for $1350. First off, the Inspiron "Plus" model features an all-aluminum shell, so it's better built than the standard Inspiron and G-series gaming laptops. Although the Dell Inspiron lineup isn't technically geared towards gaming, you'll be able to play games on this quite well thanks to the RTX 3060 video card, which performs on par with the previous generation's RTX 2070. It boasts a gorgeous 16" 3K (3072×1920) IPS panel with 100% sRGB color space, making it a capable mobile graphics workstation. There's plenty of RAM and SSD storage as well.

Vizio 55" OLED 4K TV for Only $999.99

The Vizio OLED TVs are hundreds of dollars cheaper than LG and Sony OLED TVs, but that doesn't mean Vizio's TVs underperform. The Vizio OLED TV offers one of the best pictures on the market because of the inherent qualities of the OLED panel itself; near infinite contrast ratio, perfect black level, fast response time, and high peak brightness offer a superb HDR image. If 55" is too small for you, the 65" is also on sale for $1499.
