Eight Things to Know for Cookie Run: Kingdom’s Update

Cookie Run: Kingdom is a mobile base-building RPG that offers a sheet pan of over 64 unique characters on fresh adventures. Led by fearless leader GingerBrave, these tough Cookies explore over 250 story levels where they build delicious strongholds, fight for a vast Kingdom, and uncover secrets of the past.

Cookie Run: Kingdom is already a wildly popular game all over the world. And now that it’s finally been given the proper resources for an English-localization, you too will be able to enjoy the delicious mysteries hidden around the Kingdom.

Devsisters, the developers of Cookie Run: Kingdom, are baking up their English-speaking version of the game using voiceovers from 64 acclaimed actors and influencers.

“Our diverse Cookie characters are the heart of our game and really come alive with their own unique voices and personalities. We are proud to be offering this brand-new experience to the English-speaking players,” said Jongheun Kim, co-CEO of Devsisters.

The authentic human voices are integral to Cookie Run: Kingdom, as they help create the nuanced traits behind each of the cookie characters. The lineup of talent is headlined by Jeremy Shada as GingerBrave and Michael J Wilson, whose credits include Shark Tale and Ice Age, contributed to the script.

Recipe for Success:

Save those Crystals

This game uses a gacha system, so save those Crystals! Crystals seem to come easy and cheap at first, but become much more precious later. Be patient and wait for when a new featured Cookie comes along that fits your style or need, and only then spend those Crystals.

Find your favorite Cookies

Once you get the gameplay basics down, identify what type of player you are, what type of Cookies you like, and which ones you want to invest your time and resources in developing. What type of tasty team do you want to assemble? Each Cookie has a specialty skill that ranges from offense, defense, healing, attacking or shielding magic, etc.

Experiment with your own winning recipe before baking it in

There are no resets once you start building your team and leveling-up your Cookies, so be careful about which Cookies you keep in your jar and how much you upgrade them. Don’t invest too much time leveling-up Cookies until you unlock at least a few with decent rarity.

Take advantage of powder power

Each Cookie’s unique skills can be enhanced with Skill Powders. Powders are a necessary ingredient in elevating your character up to level 60, and can be obtained through completing daily challenges and also acquired in various parts of the Kingdom.

Don’t skimp on toppings

You can add up to five toppings (or buffs) to your cookie-crumbling squad, so keep them handy for Cake Monsters and give your team a little something extra when they need it most.

Keep your pantry stocked

Like any good bakery, you want to keep your pantry stocked with plenty of farm fresh ingredients. You do this by building cookie houses and then make sure they’re cranking out coveted Star Jellies, which you need to level-up your Cookies.

Bake daily for bonuses and freebies

In addition to daily rewards for just logging on, there are regular opportunities to gain free resources, Cookies, toppings, and Crystals. Everyone has 1-2 minutes a day to login and claim free loot, right?

Send your Cookies up, up and away

Hey, it’s a Cookie kingdom after all—be hasty about sending your pastries on a tasty hot air balloon flight

to gaze upon the splendor. Expeditions are rewarded with toppings, coins, Crystals, and more. You can also ship your Cookies far and wide and trade for goods you need using the train station.

From the endlessly appealing gacha component to the vibrantly colored and creatively crafted Cookies, to their individual personalities brought to life by a roster of professional voice actors, Cookie Run: Kingdom is some seriously sugary software sure to satisfy your gaming sweet tooth.

Cookie Run: Kingdom is available now for iOS and Android.
